The Quinta das Cruzes Museum participates in the temporary exhibition "Masterpieces from the Museums of Madeira. 500 years of history”, at the Galeria de Pintura do Rei D. Luís I, in Palácio Nacional da Ajuda (Lisbon), between the 21st of November 2009 and the 28^th of February 2010 with around 60 pieces.

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum reopens its doors to the public on the 14th of July with a renewed and more qualified image, allowing a more adequate and including enjoyment of this space, now accessible to the visitors in wheelchairs and with reduced mobility.

After a period of closing, the Museum will be opened and ready to be rediscovered by the visitors who will be able to find a renewed permanent exhibition, with new nuclei and pieces.
